We are pleased to send you the final announcement of the 12th congress
“New findings in equine practice” that will be held at the International Horse Centre, "La Venaria Reale", Druento (Italy) from the 11th to the 13th November 2010.
Enclosed you will find the final program and the registration form of our congress. We would like to take the opportunity to thank the authors of the research work that will be presented at the scientific sessions as well as the main lecture speakers for their commitment and enthusiasm while defining the present high standard scientific program.
Additionally to the scientific program, we would like to invite you to participate at the Cultural Session organized by Colonel Lanza on Friday 12th at 4 p.m. that will include the presentation of his book entitled Gaspare Bolla “Cavaliere Perdutissimo” by Maurizio Lanza and Rosellina Piano. You will find further information within this final announcement.

Eroico e temerario, quasiun simbolo di un’interaepoca, Gaspare Bolla –
campione di equitazioneed audace aviatore –
fu soprannominato dal VateGabriele D’Annunzio
“cavaliere perdutissimo”.
Singolarmente, proprio mentre l’equitazione italiana diventava un modello internazionale, l’avvento dei motori sembrava decretare, prima ancora che le Cavallerie se ne rendessero conto, il trionfo dei motori e il lento tramonto dei cavalli. All’inizio fu un’avventura romantica, alla Von Richtofen. Nel prendere il brevetto di pilota, molti cavalieri che si rifiutavano di togliersi gli speroni,s’impigliavano nella pedaliera. Altri, come Gaspare Bolla, facevano un corso di pochi giorni, imparando solo l’uso dei comandi…Bolla, già famoso come campione di equitazione, è l’esempio eroico del debutto della nuova arma. Quasi un simbolo che esordì in guerra nei cieli della Tripolitania e della Cirenaicasu quel Blèriot che sembrava un traliccio con ali di tela. Morirà guardando il Carso, agli inizi della Grande Guerra, durante una pericolosa ricognizione.Se Caprilli è il simbolo di una Cavalleria giunta al massimo fulgore,ma minacciata dall’obsolescenza, Bolla
è il prototipo di quei leggendari cavalieri volanti destinati a diventare i protagonisti delle guerre moderne.

Posters should be hanged in the morning of your talk, before the conference starts, and
should be withdrawn at the end of the conference. The organizing committee will supply

Powerpoint presentation upload:
Presentations should be uploaded in the computer of the conference room during the last
coffee break/lunch before your presentation. A staff member will be at the conference
room during the breaks to assist the participants. For presentations scheduled on Friday
morning (first half of Clinical sciences session) please upload the presentation on Thursday
before leaving the conference venue.
