Nuove metodologie riabilitative nel
paziente anziano
Dott. Walter Verrusio, MD PhD Dipartimento di Scienze Cardiovascolari,

FRAIL ELDERLY
Frailty can be an indicator
of older people's health
status and healthcare needs.
• perdita di peso (maggiore di 4,5 Kg. nell’ultimo anno);
• affaticamento (fatica in almeno 3 giorni/settimana);
3,37 Kg per le femmine);
Scale for the Elderly);

a combination of both rehabilitation and nutrition care management

tempo

PROGETTO S.O.S. Aging
(Sport Ovvero Successfull Aging)
collega all’elemento dorsale, permettendo i movimenti
complessi della testa e del collo.
Elemento lombo-sacrale
viene collocato al centro del sacro. Esso a sua
volta va articolato all’elemento dorsale e,

First session – Mozart: Venous blood sample taken 120 minutes
(min.) after breakfast and at rest (after 15 min. waiting, sitting).
Test administration: Paper Folding & Cutting test (PFC)3 for spatial–temporal abilities, Clock-drawing test (CT) for the ideational-
praxis abilities4. Listening to Mozart song (K448) for 30 min. Second sample taken immediately after
musical exposure. New assessment through the same two tests. Second session - Beethoven (7 days after the
first session): same protocol as in the first session, but exposure to Beethoven’s “Fur Elisa”.

brain plasticity in elderly.

This results allow us to
hypothesize that Mozart’s music
can play a relevant role in
cognitive rehabilitation of
subjects with MCI, that being
a non-invasive rehabilitation
method, without collateral effects
and with a practically zero
economic impact.
