verificare il corretto serraggio della bulloneria fornita e rimossa e comunque di tutte le parti interessate al montaggio dell'impianto A/e;verificare che non ci siano perdite d'acqua, ono e aria su motore, freni, servosterzo, servofreno, ecc.;verificare tutti i livelli dei liquidi. Qualora venga rimosso il radiatore aequa, ricaricare nel circuito 10stesso liquido scaricato e, se II necessario unrabbocco, aggiungere illiquido anticongelante prescitto. Assicurarsi inoltre che 10spurgo aria sia fatto come prescritto dal costruttore;accertarsi della giusta tensione di tutte le cinghie, e verificare 10state di usura di quelle non sostituite;verificare che non si abbiano interferenze critiche in qualunque condizione di funzionamento. In particolare accertarsi che siano garantite distanzedi sicurezza fra tutti i particolari soggetti a movimento relativo;garantirsi che non si abbiano fregamenti con conseguente usura tra le parti mediante un corretto serraggio e posizionamento delle stesse;assicurarsi del corretto isolamento elettrico, della corretta installazione dei fusibili e di tutte le parti dell'impianto elettrico;dopo aver effettuato la carica del refrigerante effettuare una accurata ricerca di eventuali perdite di gas;eseguire comunque ogni operazione secondo norme di buona tecnica;se durante I'operazione di installazione dell'impianto, vengono praticati fori o tagli, é obbligatorio proteggere tali parti con prodotto antiruggine fomi-to con I'impianto.

vérifier que la boulonnerie fournie et déplacée ainsi que toutesles parties concernées par le montage de.l'installation A/e soientserrées correctement;
2 vérifier qu'il n'y ait pas de pertes d'eau d'huile et d'air sur le mo-teur, les freins, la servodirection, le servofrein, etc ...;
3 vérifier tous les niveaux des liquides. Au eas ou le radiateur eauserait déplacé, recharger dans le circuit le rnérne liquide que ce-lui qui a été déchargé et si un remplissage est nécessaire, ajou-ter le liquide antigel prescrit. S'assurer en outre que la vidangeair soit faite comme prescrit par le constructeur.
4 s'assurer de la juste tension de toutes les courroies et vérifierI"état d'usure de celles qui n'ont pas été remplacées;
5 vérifier qu'il n'y ait pas d'interférences critiques dans toutes lesconditions de fonctionnement. S'assurer en particulier que les di-stances de sécurité entre toutes les piéces sujettes il un mouve-ment relatif soient respectées;
6 s'assurer qu'il n'y ait pas de frottements provuquant I'usure entreles parties qráce au serrage et au positionnement corrects decelles-ci;

8 aprés avoir effectué la charge du réfrigérant, effectuer une re-cherche minutieuse des pertes éventuelles de gas;
9 de toute tacon, effectuer toutes les opérations suivant les nor-mes de la meilleure technique;
10 si durant I'opération de mise en place de I'installation des trouset des coupes sont pratiquées, il est obligatoire de protéger cesparties avec le produit antirouille fourni ave c I'installation.

Jede DIAVIA-Klimaanlage ist gemiiJ3 der beigefügten Einbauanlei-tung einzubauen;
2 Bei allen Einbauteilen der Klimaanlage ist auf die vorgeschriebeneAnbringung an den vorgesehenen Punkten zu achten, ebenso wieauf die erforderliche Bewegungsfreiheit der einzelnen Aggregatteile.Bei korrekter Positionierung und Befestigung der Teile sind Abnut-zungen durch reibung ausgeschlossen. Eventuell auftretende Stö-rungen sind unverzüglich zu überprüfen;
3 Alle Einbauteile sowie die verwendeten Schrauben und Muttern sindauf ihre korrekte Spannung und festen Sitz hin zu überprüfen:
4 Alle Teile der elektrischen Anlage sowie die Sicherungen sind aufIsolation und korrekte Installation hin zu überprüfen;
5 Nach auffüllung der Klimaanlage mit dem Kállemittel muB diegesamte Anlage auf eventuelle Verluste von gas überprüft wer-den;
6 Bei Inbetriebnahme der Klimaanlage ist die korrekte Spannung allerKeilriemen zu überprüfen. Nicht ersetzte Keilriemen sind auf ihre Ab-nutzung hin zu untersuchen;
7 Nach Einbau der Klimaanlage ist zu überprüfen, daB Motor, Brem-sen, Servolenkung und Servobremse keine Wasser-, Oel- oder Luft-verluste aufweisen;
8 Yor Übergabe des Wagens muB das Niveau aler Flüssigkeitsanzei-gen uberprüft werden. Falls beim Klimaanlagen-Einbau der Was-serkühler ausgebaut wurde, ist die entnommene Flüssigkeit im Um-lauf wieder aufzufüllen und das erforderliche Frostschutzmittel nach-zufüllen;
9 Im Falle daB wáhrend der Installation sarbeiten der Anlage Bohrun-gen oder Schnitte durchgeführt werden, ist es unbedingt notwendig,diese Teile mit dem bei der Anlage mit gelieferten RostschlJtz mittelzu schützen.

check the propper tightening of the supplied nuts and boils andremoval, and otherwise, of ali parts involved in assembly of theA/e system;
2 check that there are no water, oil or air leaks on the engine,brackes, power steering, power brakes, etc.;
3 check the level of ali liquids. Should the radiator water be remo-ved, reload the sa me discharged water in the circuit and, if it isnecessary to fill to the brim add the prescribed liquid anti-freeze.Furthermore, make sure that the air cleaning is carried out as pre-scribed by the builder;
4 check the proper tension of ali the belts and check the state ofwear on those which have not been replaced;
5 check that there is not critical interference under any functioncondition. In particular check that the safety distances between aliparts subject to relative move ment are guaranteed;
6 ensure that there is no rubbing between parts with consequentwear by means of proper tightening and positioning of the partsthemselves;
7 check that electric insulation, fuse installation and ali parts of theelectricai system are correct;
8 after having charged the coolant make a carefui search for anyleaks of gas;
9 carry out ali operatíons according to the rules of good technology;10 should any holes or cuts be made during installation of the sy-
stem, it is absolutely necessary to protect such parts with the ru-st-proof product supplied with the system.

2 verificad que no se producan pérdidas de agua, 61eoy aire sobreel motor, los frenos, el servofreno, el servorodetes, etc.;
3 verificad todos los nivetes de los liquidos. En caso se remueva elradiador, de agua, recarqad en el circuito el mismo liquido de-scargado, y si es necesano el relleno aiiadid elliquido anticonge-lamiento prescrito. Además, averiguad que el expurgo de airesea hecho como está prescrito por el constructor;
4 averiguad que todas las correas sean bien tendidas y verificad elestado de desgaste de las que no han sido sustituidas;
5 verificad que no se producan graves interferencias en cualquiercondición de funcionamiento. En particular verificad de que seangarantizadas las distancias de seguridad entre todos los sujetosparticulares, con movimiento relativo;
6 averiguad que no se producan fricaciones con consiguiente de-sgaste de las partes, apretándolas corectamente y poniendoesas mismas en posici6n corecta;
7 verificad el corecto aislamiento eléctrico, la corecta instalaci6n delos fusibles y de todas las partes de la instalación eléctrica;
8 después de haber introducido el refrigerante, efectuad una bú-sqeda diligente acerca de posibles pérdidas de gas;
9 de todos modos, efectuad cada operación según las normas co-munes a los buenos técnicos;
10 si durante la operación de puesta de la instalaci6n se hacenagujeros o cortes les aconsejamos protejan este puntos con unproducto anti-oxido abastecido con la instalación.

point where it comes out of the passenger compartment (detail "A »).

Elemente des Fahrzeugs betestigen.

Operazioni preliminari nel vano motore:- Smontare tergicristallo parabrezza anteriore.- Smontare grembialine parapioggia vasca servizi.- Smontare motorino elettrico comando tergicristallo.- Scollegare tubi acqua dal gruppo riscaldamento.- Smontare il micro-filtro sull'imbocco ingresso aria dinamica.- Scollegare il tubino della depressione diretto all'interno abitacolo ed il connettore dei cavi elettrici diretti al resistore (posti entrambi sotto al rni-
cro-filtro).- Smontare le cinque viti di fissaggio gruppo riscaldamento.
Operazioni preliminari nell'abitacolo:- Smontare (dove esistenti) le grembialine di protezione poste sottoplaneia lato guida e lato passeggero.- Smontare il volante.- Smontare il tunnel centrale leva cambio e leva freno di stazionamento.- Smontare (dove esistente) il vano porta-oggetti lato passeggero posto sotto al cassetto porta-oggetti.- Smontare cassetto porta-oggetti.- Smontare i semi-gusci di protezione piantone sterzo.- Smontare cornice quadro strumentazione.- Smontare gruppo comandi illuminazione (lato guida).- Smontare griglietta aria laterale sinistra del cruscotto.- Smontare la cornice della griglietta aria laterale sinistra-gruppo comandi illuminazione-sede interruttori.- Smontare quadro strumentazione.- Smontare grigliette aria centrali e I'interruttore luci di emergenza.- Smontare pomelli comando riscaldamento-ventilazione-distribuzione aria.- Smontare (dove esistente) I'autoradio oppure il relativo vano di predisposizione.- Smontare il Computer di bordo (dove esistente) oppure I'orologio digitale con relativa placca di supporto.- Smontare gruppo cornice consolle centrale.- Sbloccare i condotti mandata aria piedi lato gu ida e lato passeggero dal sottoplancia.- Smontare il cruscotto, togliendo i tre dadi sui lato vano motore (interno vasca servizi) e le sei viti all'interno abitacolo.- Scollegare i tiretti comando distribuzione aria e riscaldamento dal gruppo riscaldatore.- Smontare ed eliminare il gruppo comandi riscaldamento-ventilazione-distribuzione aria (part .•• B•• di fig. 6). sfilando il tubino della depressione
dall'lnterruttore comando ricircolo aria.- Smontare il gruppo riscaldamento.- Smontare dal gruppo riscaldamento il gruppo ventilante (conservare le quattro viti autofilettanti di fissaggio) e I'asta comando mandata aria alle
bocchette frontali.- Eliminare il gruppo riscaldamento (part. ••A •• di fig. 6).

\Preliminary operations in the engine compartment:- Aemove the front windiscreen wiper.- Aemove the firewall rain screens.- Remove the windscreen wiper control elect ric motor.- Disconnect the water pipes from the heating unit.- Remove the microfilter placed on the ram air intake mouth piece.- Disconnect the vacuum pipe going into the passenger compartment and the connector of the electric cables going to the resistor (both placed
under the microfilter).- Remove the heating unit five fixing screws.
Preliminary operations in the passenger compartment:- Remove the screens placed under the dashboard on driver's and passenger's sides.- Remove the steering wheel.- Remove the gear lever and the hand brake lever central tunnel.- Remove the parcel tray on passenger's side placed under the glove box.- Remove the glove box.- Remove the steering column half-sheels.- Aemove the eiuster frame.- Aemove the lighting controls unit (on driver's side).- Remove the dashboard left side air grill.- Remove the left side grill-lighting controls unit-switches plate frame.- Remove the cluster.- Remove the central air grills and the parking lights switch.- Aemove the heating-ventilation-air distribution control knobs. -.•.•:)- Remove the car radio or the prepared compartment. - Aemove the computer or the digital clock with support plate.- Aemove the central console frame unit.- Disconnect the air delivery ducts to the feet on driver's and passenger's side under the dashboard.- Remove the dashboard by removing the three nuts on the engine compartment side (in the firewall) and the six screws in the passenger com-
partment.- Disconnect the air distribution and heating control tie-rods from the heater unit.- Aemove and discard the heating-ventilation-air distribution controls unit (part. «B» of fig. 6) by disconnecting the vacuum small pipe from the
recycling control switch.- Remove the heating unit.- Remove from the heating unit the ventilation unit (keep the 4 self-tapping fixing screws) and the air delivery to the front outlets control rod.- Remove the heating unit (part «A» of fig. 6).

chtet sind (die sich beide unter dem Mikrofilter befinden), abklemmen.- Die fünf Befestigungsschrauben der Heizungsgruppe ausbauen.
Vorbereitungsarbeiten im Wageninneren:((\r\~- Die Schutzabdeckungen (wo vorhanden). die sich unter der Konsole auf der Fahrer- und Beifahrerseite befinden, ausbauen. \ I
- Lenkrad ausbauen.- Den mittleren Tunnel des Ganghebels und den Blockierunqs-Brernshebel ausbauen.- Das Handschuhkasten-Geháuse (wo vorhanden) auf der 8eifahrerseite, der sich unter dem Handschuhkasten befinde!, ausbauen.- Handschuhkasten ausbauen.- Die beiden Haltqeháuse des Lenksaulenschutzes ausbauen.- Den Rahmen der Instrumententafel ausbauen.- Die Beleuchtungssteuerungsgruppe (Fahrerseite) ausbauen.- Den selttlchen, linken Luftrost des Armaturenbrettes ausbauen.- Den Rahmen der seitlichen, linken Luftroste, die Beleuchtungssteuerungsgruppe und den Schaltersitz ausbauen.- Die Instrumententafel ausbauen.- Die mittleren Luftroste und den Warnblinkanlagen-Schalter ausbauen.- Den Steuerungsdrehknopf der Heizung, der Lüftung und des Luftverteilers ausbauen.- Autoradio (wo vorhanden), oder das entsprechende Gehause, das dafür bestimmt ist, ausbauen.- Bordcomputer (wo vorhanden), oder die Digital-Uhr mit der entsprechenden Halterplatte ausbauen.- Die mittlere Konsole-Rahmengruppe ausbauen.- Die Luftzutuhrkanale für FüGe auf der Fahrer- und Beifahrer seite von der Konsole entblocken.- Das Armaturenbrett ausbauen, dabei die drei Muttern auf der Seite des Motorraums (im Inneren der Scheibenwischerwanne) und die sechs
Schrauben im Inneren des Geháuses, entfernen.- Die Zugstangen der Luftverteilersteuerung und der Heizung von der Heizungsgruppe abklemmen.- Die Steuerungsgruppe der Heizung, des Lüfters und des Luftverteilers ausbauen und ausscheiden (Teil ,,8» der Abbildung 6), indem der Unter-

Remount the central console frame (fit with MMI modu le, switch and cool edprobe) and make electrical hook ups to the ECC wiring (see enclosed wiringdiagram, pos. 58-70-80). From below secure plaque «92» and the original fra-me using the self-tapping screw provided (pos. 61 in Fig. 4). Snap the suppliedgrill «74» protecting the housing and securing elements for probe ••91». Re-mount the remaining original components which were removed from the centralconsole. ~)

Preliminari:- Sollevare il motore e smontare il supporto inferiore destra (in allu-
minio) del motore con relativo tampone in gomma anti-vibrante.- Eíiminare il supporto in alluminio (part. "A» di fig. 30), consarvan-
do il tampone e le relative viti di fissaggio.- Smontare cinghia alternatore.- Smontare puleggia motore ed eliminare il distanziale esterno della
vite centrale di bloccaggio puleggia (part. ,,8» di fig. 30).- Smontare mascherina frantale.- Sbloccare il radiatore dai suoi fissaggi superiori.- Smontare paraurti anteriore e modificarlo come descritto nelle fi-
gure 61-62.- Smontare filtra aria motore e condotti ad esso collegati.- Smontare ed eliminare la ventola radiatore (part. "C» di fig. 30).

vis centrale de blocage poulie (rep. ,,8» de la fig. 30).- Démonter la grille frontale.- Débloquer le radiateur des fixages supérieurs.- Démonter le pare-chocs antérieur et le modifier comme indiqué
sur les figures 61-62.- Démonter le filtre a air du moteur et les conduits raccordés a ceIui-
ci.- Démonter et éliminer le ventilateur du radiateur (rep. "C» de la fig.
30).
Preliminary operations:- Lift the engine and assemble the engine aluminum right lower sup-
port and associated rubber damper- Discard the aluminum support (part "A» of fig. 30) and keep the
damper and associated fixing screws- Remove the alternator belt- Remove the driving pulley and discard pulley fixing central screw
outer spacer (part ,,8» of fig. 30)- Remove the front grill- Loosen the radiator upper fixings.- Remove the front bumper and modify it as described in the pictu-
res 61-62.- Remove the engine air filter and the ducts connected to it.- Remove and discard the radiator fan (part. "C» of fig. 30).

- Die Kühlerverkleidung ausbauen.- Kühler von den oberen Befestigungen entblocken.- Die vordere StoBstange ausbauen und wie in den Abbildungen
61-62 beschrieben, abandern.- Den Motor-Luftfilter und die Kanale, die daran verbunden sind, au-
sbauen. ~- Kühlerlüfter ausbauen und ausscheiden (Teil «C» der Abbildti
30).

ATTENZIONE: Posizionare la staffa «9» inmodo che illato di appoggio piü lungo (eviden-ziato in figura da freccia grande) risulti alla de-stra del condensatore, dalia parte dei raccordiper tubi gas.

Secure brackets «7-8» to the condenser «6»by means of the supplied self-tapping screws(pos. 15 of fig. 2/3) by using the seventh andeighth hole from below, which are prepared onthe condenser shoulders, as shown in the pic-ture. Secure the lower bracket «9» to the con-denser base, on the prepared holes, by meansof the self-tapping screws, pos. 24 of fig. 2/3.
CAUTION: Position bracket «9» so that thelong est connection side (shown by the big ar-row in the picture) is on the condenser right si-de where the gas hoses couplings are placed.
