Through its distribution of books, digital resources and study materials, EDUCatt is able to satisfy everyone’s academic needs. Book loan - Distribution of EDUCatt publications The books written by professors and published by EDUCatt can be bought in all the bookshops of Università Cattolica, further than in any online store. Students can benefit from a wide range of services: for instance, the storage service allows the students to entrust EDUCatt with the sale of their books. Students can also borrow up to six books chosen by the teachers for their classes for two months for free. Thanks to the inter-library loan, they can select books in EDUCatt on- line catalogue and get them at the local UC library front-office. The media library offers a wide variety of free contents: e-book, newspapers, scientific articles, mp3 files, sheet music, videogames and much more. The residences, located either nearby the campus or integrated in the urban network, guarantee all the comforts to away- from-home students. The access into Residential Colleges is regulated by a call: the application must be submitted by the yearly established deadline. EDUCatt offers students a high-quality food service. General practice consultations The access is free and doesn’t require any reservation. Specialist consultations Specialist consultations are available for students at a convenient price at the Healtcare Centre in Milan. Psychologists and therapists aim at helping the students solving the personal, family and university issues they may face during their career. These financial tools include different forms of subsidies, diversified according to the typology of applicant and to their income and merit situation. EDUCatt scholarships EDUCatt scholarships are granted through regional financing and are assigned to students responding both to income and merit-based requirements. How does it work? Beneficiary students have the right to benefit from: · a money contribution · a meal per day in the university canteens · the exemption from the university tuition fees These scholarships are granted through public funds. · Call for the application: published in July/August · Deadline for the application submission: end of September · Scheduling of the grant: the students can benefit from the free daily meal starting from January, whereas they will receive the money contribution only after having acquired the foreseen academic credits and, anyway, in compliance with the timing of the transfer of the regional funds. Possible integrations of EDUCatt scholarships Contribution for mobility programs abroad It’s a further money contribution for beneficiary students, based on the number of months spent abroad for studying or working purposes and on the real travelling and living expenses. Integrations for students with a disability Students with a disability equal to or higher than 66% can see the amount of their scholarship increased or converted into specialized equipment or diversified teaching material, accommodation, assignment of a tutor, or into any other kind of tools which are considered helpful to overcome one’s own difficulties. Graduation awards This integration concerns beneficiary students graduating within the legal duration of their master or single-cycle degree course, who have never benefited from any graduation award before. Scholarships based on the students’ merit* only This typology of scholarships is financed directly by Università Cattolica and Istituto Giuseppe Toniolo. Students intending to enroll in a first year Every year, students enrolling in a first year of a bachelor degree, a master degree or a single- cycle master degree have the chance to take a written test in many different Italian cities, with the aim of assigning a number of scholarships to those who result the most deserving ones. Students already enrolled Deserving students already enrolled in years subsequent the first one can benefit from financial aids, too.
