The Appartamento is a Lago project, conceived through the awareness that design is not only about the individual product, but also about improving people’s life and work environments.With this in mind, we have found an innovative way to support this idea financially.

The project involves several flats where the most interest-ing people meet and think at how to re-design life and their territory.The Appartamento is an incredibly beautiful place, de-signed to welcome people, work, relax and come up with ideas which will re-design the future.The flats are located in big cities but not only: they are wherever there is excitement, energy and people who have ideas to change the world.

THE APPARTAMENTO IS A NEWECONOMIC MODEL

The person able to make an Appartamento special is the master of the house: the tenant. The tenant’s task is to or-ganize events, to get in contact with those who make in-novation within his city, to develop networking opportuni-ties and to introduce the place where he lives to as many people as possible.

For this reason the tenant we are looking for is a special person, capable of involving, designing, taking up the challenge.

The tenant is keen on design and knows everything about Lago furniture, that’s why he is its ambassador in the city. By opening the doors of his house he will help people de-sign and choose to purchase the Lago furniture. In such activity, the tenant is supported by Lago, which supplies the home furniture at a favourable price, as well as the training and the necessary tools.

The candidate fills in the form in the Lago website and sends his data, including pictures, plan of the house as well as an idea of how it could become a Lago apparta-mento.

Lago receives the application forms, evaluates their eli-gibility and communicates the results to the people con-cerned. He who will have made the most interesting pro-posals will be able to sign a contract with Lago and with the reference reseller.

After signing the contract, the candidate starts his new experience as a tenant of the apartment.

The Tenant is a person who loves socializing, who man-ages to organize the coolest party in 2 hours, without los-ing heart when it’s time to tidy up.

He lives in the Appartamento alone, with his family, with his friends. He doesn’t have a fixed timetable, he opens the doors of his flat according to his availability, making agreements each time with those who are willing to visit the Appartamento.

In order to advertise his house he organizes din-ners, hosts small events, turns his flat into an in-teresting and well-known place in the city.

He tunes a serenade to his city from his houses’ balcony: he’s certainly not short of courage for it.

Each Appartamento has its own space in the Lago Com-munity: the on-line platform visited by hundreds of sub-scribers every day.

The Tenant will be able to talk about his project, publish pictures and videos of his Appartamento to make it known to everybody.

Through the Community, the Tenant can be contacted to fix an appointment - even just for a coffee- in his flat.
