A trip through the history of italian food
The years from 1900 to 1920In this period a lot of people live in farms and eat what they cultivate: fruit, vegetables, cereals, tomatoes, legumes and potatoes. They also* drink milk and eat cheese because they have cows and sheep. The meat is too expensive** so they buy it only on special events.

From 1920 to 1950• This is the period of the second World War. People are very poor* and

From 1950 to 1970• This is the period of the woman empowerment. The women start to
work in the factories and in the offices.• There are new invenctions: the electrodomestics. The most important
is the fridge.• The most important foods are pasta, meat and fish.
From 1970 to 1990This is also the period of American influence. In these years a new drink that, everyone knows, Coca Cola, arrives in Italy.A new “type” of food becomes popular: the cheeseburger. This is a tipical dish of one of the most famous american fast food. Do you know the name of the fast food?

Food in the futureThe key for a better world is an equal subdivision of food. In the future food will change. A lot of people say that in the future we will eat insects but we hope that we will continue to eat pizza and pasta alla carbonara!
