Polistuc, fondata nel 1972, si è da subito contraddistinta per l’alta tecnologia nella produzione di vernici per il legno. Pionieri ed innovatori gli uomini di Po-listuc hanno subito sviluppato la nuova tecnologia delle vernici fotoreticolabili, oggi meglio conosciute come vernici UV, che consentono il raggiungimento di elevati livelli qualitativi nel massimo rispetto dell’ambiente. La costante cre-scita di Polistuc nel mercato è stata frutto dell’elevato standard qualitativo dei propri prodotti, unito ad alcune acquisizioni importanti nel settore e alla conti-nua ricerca di nuove soluzioni tecnologiche per l’utilizzatore e per l’ambiente. Oggi Polistuc è un brand di Sirca, azienda trentennale leader nel settore delle vernici per legno.

Polistuc was founded in 1972 and distinguished itself straight away for high tech-nology in the production of wood varnishes. Pioneers and innovators, the Polistuc team immediately developed the new photocured coating technology, better know today as UV varnishes, that make it possible to reach high quality levels while respecting the environmen. The constant growth of Polistuc on the market is the result of the high quality standard of its products together with some important takeovers in the sector and of continuous research in new technological solutions for the user and for the environment. Today Polistuc is a brand of Sirca, a thirty-year-old company leader in the market of wood coatings.

Every new Polistuc formulation is the result of careful and in-depth research and development. Technological research is integrated at the source, we produce ourselves a lot of raw materials used in our paints and varnishes. This means that we know exactly what our products are composed of and that we can guarantee quality right from the beginning of the production phase. PRODOTTI PRODUCTS- L’attuale gamma di prodotti Polistuc è in grado di soddisfare qualsiasi esigenza di tinteggiatura, protezione, verniciatura e laccatura del legno, utilizzando ogni tecnologia applicativa conosciuta, dal pennello fino alle sofisticate “linee per vernici UV all’acqua”.- Polistuc ha messo a punto svariati cicli di verniciatura che spaziano dai tradizionali poliuretanici, poliesteri e acrilici, ai cicli UV a base acqua o solvente, fino ai nuovi cicli di verniciatura all’acqua per interni ed esterni.

- The current range of Polistuc products is capable of satisfying any wood painting, protection, varnishing and lacquering requirement by using every known application technology, from the brush to the sophisticated “line for water-based UV varnishes”.- With its products Polistuc has perfected various varnishing cycles that go from traditional polyurethane, polyester and acrylic varnishes to water or solvent-based UV cycles to new water-based paint cycles for indoor and outdoor use.

Eccellente nell’uso per interni. Nell’impiego in miscela con le serie CCU e CN ne migliora le prestazioni, in particolare su sfumature sopra i fondi. Unita all’elevata resistenza ai perossidi la rende adatta alle sfumature sopra i fondi ed alle tinteggiature su essenze sbiancate chimicamente.Excellent for indoor staining. Used in the form of a mixture with the CCU and CN series improves the results, in particular on fine applications over undercoat. Togheter with its high resistance to peroxides, makes it suitable to be used in very fine applications and for staining over chemical whitened wood surfaces.

Caratteristica della serie è la semicoprenza, che aiuta nel raggiungimento di effetti di uniformità dando però luogo a tinte spente. Si consiglia pertanto il taglio con le serie CCU o CN per migliorarne la brillantezza. - Chacteristic of this series is the semi hiding capacity, which allows to reach uniformity effects producing however dull shading. It is suggested therefore the mixture with the CCU or CN series to improve the brightness.


Ottima. Nell’impiego in miscela con le serie CCU e CN ne migliora le prestazioni, in particolare su sfumature sopra i fondi. Excellent. Used in the form of a mixture with the CCU and CN series improves the results, especially in very fine applications over undercoats.

1. Le tinte riprodotte in cartella sono ottenute su supporti in frassino con applicazione a spruzzo. I coloranti sono stati diluiti dal 500 al 1000% in funzione della serie e sovraverniciati con ciclo acrilico/po-liuretanico trasparente.

I coloranti delle serie presentate sono trasparenti o semicoprenti, pertanto il cambiamento di supporto porterà a differenze di tonalità anche importanti, che saranno maggiormente evidenti sui colori più trasparenti e su quelli che si discostano maggiormente dalla tonalità dell’essenza legnosa utilizzata, in particolare i toni giallo/blu/verde/ arancio/rosso.

3. Solidità alla luce. Per ogni serie viene riportata in descrizione tec-nica una valutazione media della resistenza alla luce dei vari coloranti, sulla base delle indicazioni fornite dai produttori dei pigmenti e colo-ranti stessi e dei dati sperimentali da noi raccolti.Questi dati sono riferiti a normative che prevedono test standardizzati per quanto concerne:a - tipo di supportob - concentrazione del pigmento / colorantec - natura del leganted - quantità applicate e - ciclo di sovraverniciaturaf - caratteristiche dello spettro luminoso utilizzato per i test.

Vista l’elevata sensibilità dei coloranti alle variazioni dei suddetti pa-rametri le valutazioni fornite devono essere considerate solo indicati-ve. Ove si rendessero necessarie particolari garanzie sulla resistenza alla luce di cicli e colori specifici, dovranno essere sottoposti a prove specifiche presso enti competenti i manufatti con l’intero ciclo di ver-niciatura.

4. Nel caso di utilizzo di solventi organici per la diluizione dei colo-ranti devono essere utilizzati solo i tipi indicati nel capitolo “Diluenti per tinte”. L’uso di prodotti diversi, sia di produzione POLISTUC che concorrenti, può alterare la stabilità delle soluzioni e la corretta resa coloristica.

5. Nel caso di tinteggiature a base acqua la sovrapplicazione di ver-nici dovrà avvenire solo a completa essicazione della tinta, in quanto eventuali residui di umidità del supporto colorato possono provocare nel tempo difetti come sbiancamento, perdita di adesione, ecc.A questo scopo si rammenta che per una corretta essicazione, pur essendo importante la temperatura, che comunque non deve essere inferiore ai 15°C e che può arrivare, in forno ventilato, fino a 45°C, è molto più importante una ottima ventilazione ed una umidità ambiente bassa (inferiore al 60%).

Informazioni generali1. The stains reproduced in the booklet were obtained on ashwood sup-port using a spray application. The stains were diluted from 500 to 1000% depending the series and overpainted with acrylic/polyurethane transparent cycle.

2. The stains of the series represented are clear or semi-clear, therefore any changes in the support will cause significant variations of the shades; greatest variations occur with more transparent colours and with those which are the most different from the shade of the wood surfaces used, especially yellow/blu/green/orange/red tonalities.

3. Ligh fastness. In the Technical description of every series, an average evaluation of the light resistance of the various colorants is provided, based on specifications established by the producers of the same colorants and pigments and on trials data collected by us.These data refer to norms which are established in standard conditions con-cerning:a - type of supportb - the concentration of the stain/colorantc - the nature of the resind - the quantities appliedc - the overcoating cyclef - characteristics of the light spectrum used for trials.

Since the stains are very sensitive to variantions in these parameters, there-fore the evaluations given are to be considered as recommended.If special guarantees on the light fastness of particuler cycles and colours are needed, it is necessary to carry out test trials on the manufactured goods with the complete colour cycle at the appropriate copanies.

4. If organic solvents have to be used to dilute the stains, use only the kinds specified in the “Thinner for stains” section. The use of alternative products, whether they are produced by POLISTUC or a competitor, can alter the stability of the solution and the best colour result.

5. When using water based stains it is important to proceed to overcoating only when the stain is completely dry, because, with time, residues of umidity in the wood can cause whitening, adhesion loss, etc.To this end, it is to be remembered that, even if temperatures are important which must not be less than 15°C and can reach 45°C in ventilated ovens, for a perfect drying good ventilation and low humidity in the environment (less than 60%) are essential.
